BLACK ROSE Preparing Two New Releases

Veteran NWOBHM (New Wave Of British Heavy Metal) band BLACK ROSE is kicking off 2012 with a some festival dates and two new album releases. The group will open this year's Hammerfest "Hammer Of Thor" on the VIP night, Thursday, March 15 at Pontins Holiday Park in Prestatyn. They will also play at the Headbangers Open Air festival on Saturday, July 28 in in Brande-Hörnerkirchen, Germany, an event which is being headlined by U.S. metallers RIOT.

BLACK ROSE is preparing to release two new albums, the first of which is an 18-track CD on Hellion Records called "The Early Years And More - Remastered", which has eight previously unreleased songs from the 1980s as well as five bonus songs from the 2010 album "Cure For Your Disease", which were only previously available as a download. Also due in the summer through the High Roller label is a limited-edition vinyl record which features the band's very first demos and single.

BLACK ROSE's current lineup features original members Steve Bardsley (lead vocals, guitar) and Kenny Nicholson (lead guitar) plus Kiko Rivers (bass) and Chris Bennett (drums).
